Leadership Tulsa is now accepting applications for the New Voices Board Internship Program. This program is offered in partnership with the Tulsa Area United Way and Mosaic, Tulsa Regional Chamber’s Diversity business council. This program is designed to increase the diversity in board leadership positions across Tulsa. All participants will have the opportunity to serve a one-year appointment on a TAUW agency board. Additionally, they will receive inside looks at Tulsa City Public Boards and Commissions and private for-profit boards. Those successfully completing the program will have additional help with permanent board placements.
Leadership Tulsa is seeking candidates with under-represented racial, cultural, religious, and ethnic backgrounds who have the commitment to serve in volunteer board leadership roles. Participants will gain training and support through an overnight opening retreat, nine morning educational sessions and two evening mixers with board mentors. The program begins in September 2019 and concludes in August 2020.
Participants will be chosen based on their application. There is a $300 charge for the program. Scholarships are available. The number of participants selected will be limited to 15-25 people.
