The Hispanic Leadership Institute (HLI) promotes the individual development of Tulsa-area Hispanics/Latine for increased participation in leadership roles.
This program grew out of a partnership with the Tulsa Latin American Chamber of Commerce. HLI offers the opportunity for individuals to develop and expand their knowledge, leadership skills, and connections to take an active role in the community.
HLI also offers participants the opportunity to engage with Tulsa’s foremost business and policy authorities in a continuing dialogue about leadership and the civic sector. Participants will collectively give back to the Tulsa region through a shared community project.
Ideal Candidates
- Hispanic/Latine professionals who reside and/or serve the Tulsa region.
- Willingness to learn about and build relationships with local community organizations and businesses.
- Individuals who have exemplified leadership qualities in their professional environment and who are looking to expand their leadership skills.
HLI is a seven-month program, with class members meeting primarily in person for sessions and a two-day retreat (with the exception of a virtual orientation and a virtual community project showcase). The cost is $600 and scholarships are available.
