Join us in welcoming Dara Homer to the Leadership Tulsa team! Dara will be serving as program coordinator, assisting with logistics for all LT programs. Get to know Dara below!
What are you most excited about joining the Leadership Tulsa team?
I’m looking forward to many aspects of being a part of LT, but I’m especially energized by the prospect of getting to learn from our team and their incredible range of experiences. I’m also excited to help develop emergent leaders in our community and grow my own expertise alongside them.
What is one thing about you few people know?
I learned to tap dance to play the part of Peggy in a high school production of the musical 42nd Street. I found that it’s actually a little easier than it looks. I also learned to high-kick to play the part of Diana Morales in A Chorus Line, which is definitely harder than it looks.
What will you be doing at Leadership Tulsa?
As the Program Coordinator, I will be supporting programming across the organization and assisting with logistics. I will also facilitate communication with program participants and alumni, streamline data and record-keeping, and help strengthen evaluations and outcomes for programs.
What is your favorite band at the moment?
I’ve been listening to Conor Oberst for my entire adult life and will probably continue to do so forever.
Apart from your work at Leadership Tulsa, what are some side projects or hobbies you enjoy?
I’m the Contributing Editor for BroadwayWorld here in Tulsa, so I get to see great theatre and write about it, which I really love. I also volunteer remotely for an animal welfare organization called The Humane League. In my free time, I enjoy rock climbing, eating kimchi fries at Lone Wolf, and spending time with my two cats, Sockscrates and Richard Parker.
